An unknown explosive device was dropped at the Sudzha electrical substation in the Kursk region, informed Governor of the region Roman Starovoit in his Telegram channel.

“Today at 11:20, an unidentified explosive device was allegedly dropped from the air at the Sudzha electrical substation, as a result of which the transformer was disabled,” he wrote.

The fire was eliminated, problems with the supply of electricity were avoided, the governor added.

Earlier in September, in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, there was an attack by unknown persons on employees of the Russian Guard, one of whom subsequently died. Sudzhansky district is located in the south-west of the Kursk region and borders on the Sumy region of Ukraine. The distance from Sudzha station to the border with Ukraine is 16 km.

In the Kursk region, it was decided to extend the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat until October 7, informed also today Starovoit.
