The referendums that have begun in the Donbass will not change anything for Germany. Berlin will continue to support Kyiv, said German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht.

In the context of the Bundeswehr’s training of Ukrainian troops, she stated that Germany would act “meaningfully.”

“A well-educated and well-equipped military is the best guarantee of security for both Ukraine and us,” she said.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also said earlier that the West does not recognize the results of the plebiscite in Donbass.

In the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, referendums began on the return of territories to Russia. They will be held September 23-27. The voting results will be officially announced on September 28.

Refugees from these territories will be able to express his opinion at the polling stations in Kursk.
