The governor of the Kaluga region announced the change of the military commissar after complaints from volunteers

The Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha, said that, based on the results of communication with volunteers at the military assembly point, he decided to change the regional military commissar. According to him, the volunteers complained about a large number of bureaucratic difficulties when signing contracts for military service.

“People write to me: I signed up for the State Services, but the military registration and enlistment office is trying to keep up, and does not give an answer for several weeks. And there are even worse cases. Decided to change the regional military commissar. The most important task is to work with volunteers who want to serve the Motherland,” wrote Vladislav Shapsha in his Telegram channel.

The post of military commissar of the Kaluga region will be taken by Andrey Ivanov. Previously, he served as the military commissar of Kaluga and the Ferzikovsky district.

The governor did not name the person whom he dismissed, however, according to information on site military commissariats of the region, we are talking about Sergei Kuzmenkov. He was appointed in October 2018. Prior to that, he worked in the 8th Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces.
