The Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, canceled the state purchase of a Citroen car for leasing for the “State Expertise” of the city. The initial purchase price is from 12 million rubles. The governor promised to fire those who decided to buy a French brand car and said that they do not understand “what the situation is now in the country.”
“This is either a provocation or degradation and complete misunderstanding of the current situation in the country. The one who made the decision on such a purchase will be fired tomorrow. The purchase has been canceled,” Mr. Razvozhaev wrote in Telegram.
August 3, President Vladimir Putin declaredthat all officials must use domestic cars. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that deputies would henceforth drive around in Moskvich, Ladakh, Aurus, and later on Volga. According to him, the deputies agreed to transfer to domestic cars in the fall.
