In the next 24 hours, the water level in the Ural and Samara rivers may rise from 5 to 40 cm, which could lead to flooding of 2,003 residential buildings, 2,400 household plots in 35 settlements in 10 urban districts and municipal areas, reported press service of the government of the Orenburg region.

As of 20:00 on April 8, 10,185 residential buildings and 12,675 household plots located in 25 municipalities were flooded in the region. “A total of 6,263 people, including 1,519 children, were evacuated from flooded households and personal plots. 1,551 people are accommodated in 31 temporary temporary accommodation centers, of which 283 are children. This data does not include the city of Orsk,” the government press service said in a statement.

In Orsk, according to the latest data, 6,987 residential buildings were flooded, 2,467 people were evacuated, including 704 children. 1,455 city residents were placed in temporary temporary detention centers. In Orenburg, the villages of Kuznechny and Sitsovka, the village of Krasnokholm, the Dubovy Ples residential area, as well as 18 SNT were flooded. The population of Orsk is approximately 189 thousand people. A state of emergency on a federal scale has been declared in the Orenburg region since April 7. By today, April 8, the water level in the Ural River in the Ilek region has exceeded the dangerous level of 890 cm.
