In the next 24 hours, the water level in the Ural and Samara rivers may rise from 5 to 40 cm, which could lead to flooding of 2,003 residential buildings, 2,400 household plots in 35 settlements in 10 urban districts and municipal areas, reported press service of the government of the Orenburg region.

As of 20:00 on April 8, 10,185 residential buildings and 12,675 household plots located in 25 municipalities were flooded in the region. “A total of 6,263 people, including 1,519 children, were evacuated from flooded households and personal plots. 1,551 people are accommodated in 31 temporary temporary accommodation centers, of which 283 are children.
