Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree expanding the list of controlled narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The updated list included 12 more items. In addition, in accordance with the document, state control measures over illegal cocaine trafficking are being strengthened.
According to the government decree, the text of which is given TASS And Interfaxthe list of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the circulation of which is controlled in Russia, has been supplemented with substances that are particularly dangerous to life and health, including synthetic cannabinoids, tryptamines, and benzodiazepines.
The list of narcotic plants subject to control has also been expanded. In particular, it included morning glory tricolor, turbine corymbose and harmala. In addition, the resolution provides for strengthening state control measures over illegal cocaine trafficking.
The list of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances subject to control in Russia, approved in 1998, is updated regularly. The last time changes were made to it was in November 2023. Then the list expanded at 23 positions.
