The government has expanded support for the employment of air defense soldiers with disabilities

The government has approved an action plan to increase the employment rate of people with disabilities for 2023–2024. The plan included measures to assist in the employment of disabled soldiers of the military operation. About it reported Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with his deputies.
Among the measures included in the plan:
- by the end of 2024, in Russia, with the assistance of the employment service, at least 70% of able-bodied disabled people should be provided with work;
- compared to 2023, the employment rate of people with disabilities should increase by 10%, including due to an increase in the employment of people with disabilities who graduated from universities or colleges (by the end of the year, regional authorities must approve targets for such employment, and then monitor them );
- regions should develop or update atlases of accessible professions for people with disabilities with secondary vocational education;
- A regional standard for social entrepreneurship will be introduced.
According to Mr. Mishustin, the implementation of the plan will help people with special needs and health limitations “to feel more self-sufficient and independent and not be left alone with their problems.”
November 21, 2022 President Vladimir Putin signed a law granting combat veteran status to volunteers who participate in military operations in Ukraine. In August 2023, the president also signed decree on compulsory state insurance of life and health of citizens participating in hostilities as part of volunteer formations, as well as those who perform the tasks of the Russian armed forces during mobilization and martial law.
