The government approved additional payments to doctors from January 2023

Doctors and specialists in primary health care, doctors of district hospitals, as well as doctors working at stations and emergency departments in 2023 will receive monthly social payments in the amount of 4.5 thousand to 18.5 thousand rubles. Relevant resolution signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The amount of monthly social benefits by categories of physicians:

• doctors of central district, district and district hospitals – 18.5 thousand rubles;
• doctors of polyclinics and other outpatient institutions of primary health care – 14.5 thousand rubles;
• doctors of stations or emergency departments – 11.5 thousand rubles;
• doctors and medical workers with a higher non-medical education who carry out intravital histological or cytological studies – 11.5 thousand rubles;
• nurses working in central district, district and district hospitals – 8 thousand rubles;
• medical workers with secondary education working in polyclinics and other primary health care institutions – 6.5 thousand rubles;
• paramedics and nurses of stations and ambulance departments – 7 thousand rubles;
• junior medical staff of central district, district and district hospitals, polyclinics and other primary care institutions, as well as ambulance stations – 4.5 thousand rubles;
• paramedics and nurses who receive telephone calls at ambulance stations – 4.5 thousand rubles.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, 1.1 million people will receive payments in 2023, 152.4 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

On December 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights announced additional payments to primary care physicians. According to the president, the corresponding measure is being introduced as part of the experiment of the Cabinet of Ministers to equalize the level of income in the healthcare system.
