In 2023–2025, ten Russian regions will receive subsidies for the implementation of projects related to the development of urban electric transport and the improvement of adjacent territories. 86.5 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk and Perm regions, as well as the Volgograd, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Saratov and Yaroslavl regions will receive subsidies. As clarifies press office governments, in these regions “a significant part of the transport infrastructure needs to be updated.” In particular, it is planned to reconstruct 620 km of tram lines, purchase 646 trams, 284 electric buses and 124 charging stations.
As Kommersant found out, Rosatom proposes to allocate subsidies to automakers to cover part of the cost of buying Russian traction batteries. Such a measure, according to the state corporation, will reduce the price of electric vehicles and increase demand for them. For the development of public electric transport, the corporation proposes to use life cycle contracts for batteries.
