According to Olga, who came to Berlin from Kyiv last year with her nine-year-old son, Ukrainian women are not offered well-paid jobs in Germany.
At the same time, due to the fact that the son goes to school, a woman can work no more than three or four hours a day at a rate of 12 euros.
“The Germans do not quite understand the difference: Ukrainians are not Arab refugees. We had a normal job at home. We do not want to scrub the floors for 12 euros per hour,” Olga said.
