The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned French Ambassador Pierre Levy in connection with the denial of Russian journalists to the press conference of President Emmanuel Macron during the G20 summit in New Delhi. About it reported in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“On September 18, the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Russian Federation, Lévy, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry clarified that the French diplomat was protested in connection with the “discriminatory and openly Russophobic actions of representatives of the French authorities” towards journalists from RIA Novosti and the editor-in-chief of Russia News.
The Foreign Ministry recalled that Paris refused to apologize for the incident. The department noted that such actions indicate that France adheres to a regime of segregation in relation to Russian media.
