The former deputy general director of the Russian Post for IT Sergey Emelchenkov will head the Tsifra company, a major shareholder of which is Renova, owned by Viktor Vekselberg. In this post, Emelchenkov will replace Igor Bogachev, who led Tsifra since its foundation in 2017 and left it on July 29 to develop his own projects. This was told to Vedomosti by a former employee of Tsifra. “The company confirms the information about the appointment of Sergey Emelchenkov as CEO, who will replace Igor Bogachev,” said a representative of Tsifra.
Bogachev’s departure became known on July 28 from a company statement. He “has matured the strategy of a new company, a market leader, which will soon change the way of life in several key sectors of the economy,” CNews reported, citing the ex-general director himself. Prior to joining Tsifra, Bogachev led the Russian office of SAP and the Skolkovo IT cluster.
