During the summer-autumn part of the 2023-2024 season, Tekstilshchik from Ivanovo played in the Silver Division of the Second League “A”. Tekstilshchik’s players ended up in the second-status division of the Second League “A” following the results of last season, when they took only 4th place in the standings of group No. 2. Former general director of Tekstilshchik Igor Ershov spoke about the problems with coverage of the Second League.
“I was surprised that there are simply no sports journalists. Everyone who gets even a little better immediately leaves for Moscow. Only occasionally do interviews with football players appear in the local media,” Igor said.
