But the university named after Razumovsky was already presented as a Cossack university. Although, historically, it was an institute of the food industry, which at one time had a department of winemaking, which developed the “continuous champagne” method. Now the university is the flagship of the domestic Cossacks.

There are 3 special programs open here: “Media technologies and information policy of the Cossacks”, “History, social science and ethnoculture”, as well as “State policy towards the Cossacks”. In addition to the Cossack bachelor’s degree, there is a special competition with a grant from the rector on the topic “Cossacks in the service of the fatherland.”

But at the Northern Medical University, Orthodox medicine and mental health in general, it turns out, are not new. The Orthodox Faculty was opened here in 2011. There are 5 departments: spiritual education, Orthodox medicine, demographic policy and preservation of family values, protection of public health and countering social ills, department of Orthodox psychology and medicine. It’s just that Orthodox psychologists have recently been “thrown” into the fight against abortion and abandoned mothers, so they started talking about them.

But at the Northern Arctic Federal University in Arkhangelsk, the specialty “teacher of the fundamentals of Orthodox culture” seems to be a new thing, starting in 2023. The direction is called “Religious and Cultural Heritage”, but it is Orthodoxy that is studied, in defiance of the existing at the federal level subject ODNKNR (“Fundamentals of the spiritual and moral culture of the peoples of Russia”, 4 main religions are studied – author) or ORKSE (“Fundamentals of religious cultures and secular ethics”).

However, from 2006 to 2009, in 15 regions of Russia, an experiment was carried out to replace various multicultural “foundations” only with Orthodoxy (OPK). Now this course called “family science” is taught in the Samara region, part of the Far East, Siberia, the Kaliningrad region, etc. So, probably, training to become a defense industry teacher is justified. “MK” decided to take a closer look at the issue of unusual or rare specialties in our universities and found a lot of interesting things. Gone are the days when the most exotic profession seemed to be a sommelier, jeweler, perfumer or avant-garde artist.

A well-known commercial university, for example, offers training for a manager in the gaming industry and e-sports. Previously, they also trained cybersportsmen at another university in Moscow. But one of the top universities still teaches game designers. And in St. Petersburg – advanced “virtual” shipbuilders with a 3D modeling function.

In addition, Russian bachelor’s or specialist’s degrees can be found in the specialties “Racing Engineer”, “Car Designer”, “Cyber ​​Security”, “Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation”.
