The coach of the Sokol Tennis Academy puts the secret to his ward’s success from a number of factors. Among the main ones are natural talent and strong character. The ability to control emotions and composure during the game also plays a key role.

The coach recalls that as a child, and Mirra studied with her until she was 10 years old, she tried to remember and strictly follow what she was taught, and this base, as well as what she learned later, helped her win in the second round of the Big slam” Australian Open.

“Of course, there is no universal “recipe” for how to raise a champion. Otherwise, we would be stamping out people like Mirra. Much depends on the wishes of the child himself, on the support of his parents. But the main thing is talent,” explained Marina Pavlova.
