From September 1, the rules for issuing tourist visas for trips to Finland are changing. This was reported on the website of the visa center of the country.
In particular, the report says that Finland is reducing the number of visa applications accepted per day to 500. That is, no more than 2,000 tourist visas will be issued per month. Applications will be accepted only on Mondays, and visas will be available only in four Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk and Petrozavodsk.
In addition, tourists were reminded of the need to accurately indicate the category of the requested visa.
“If you submitted your visa application in the wrong category, or if you are applying for a tourist visa on a day when tourist visa applications are not accepted, you need to book a new time and apply on the correct day. Please also note that submitting a visa application in a category other than the actual purpose of your trip may affect the decision to grant a visa.” warned at the Finnish Visa Application Centre.
Now in our country there are more than 20 visa centers in Finland. Whether centers in cities that are not included in the new list will work after September 1 is still unknown.
