The Federation Council at its meeting on July 5 will consider a law prohibiting the activities of collectors in the territory of new regions until 2026.
The proposed changes in the legislation prohibit the return of overdue debts of citizens in the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions during the transition period.
Another law that will be considered by the senators provides for the possibility of imprisonment of collectors who use violence or threaten to use it in the course of their activities. The maximum term of imprisonment for such actions will be 10 years.
