The Federation Council spoke about tiger attacks on people in the Far East

Residents of the Far East received an unexpected effect from the program to save the Amur tiger population. Striped predators began to come out to people, but not at all to say “thank you”. Big cats are terrorizing people in the Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory and Primorye, and frightened residents are asking for help from the Federation Council and President Putin. Senator Sergei Bezdenezhnykh spoke about this.
– Residents complain that tigers are coming to the villages. There were footprints on the school grounds in the newly fallen snow. We have only daylight from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the tiger is a nocturnal predator,” said Senator Bezdenezhnykh, who represents the Khabarovsk Territory in the Federation Council.
A parliamentarian at the final meeting of the upper house said that striped predators, which people are trying with all their might to save from the threat of extinction, are not averse to hunting humans themselves.
– Recently, in the village of Obor, Lazo District, Khabarovsk Territory, a man was killed by a predator near his home. That is, human casualties have already begun,” the senator complained. He admitted that he did not know how to help the residents. But people have already sent collective appeals to the Federation Council and President Vladimir Putin. They also wrote to regional officials, but they proposed, to put it mildly, a piquant solution to the problem: turning the villages into a kind of zoo.
– Residents contact the regional hunting department and the interregional department of Rosprirodnadzor. But they simply offer them to put up three-meter fences or enclose them with some kind of electric mesh,” explained Sergei Bezdenezhnykh.
