The Federation Council proposed to gradually transfer Russian officials to domestic cars

Vyacheslav Timchenko, head of the Federation Council committee on regulations and organization of parliamentary activities, expressed support for the idea of transferring officials to domestic cars. He noted that this idea is absolutely correct, and it is worth buying domestic cars after the current fleet becomes unusable.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier announced the need to transfer all officials to Russian cars. This, in his opinion, will contribute to the development of domestic brands, the automotive industry and other domestic products.
Timchenko noted that at present it is more efficient to use imported cars until they become unserviceable. As such cars wear out, they will be replaced with domestic ones. He stressed that the purchase of cars will be carried out in accordance with the instructions of the president.
The Federation Council, according to Timchenko, does not buy cars itself, but uses the cars provided.
