The Federation Council promised to issue a warning to Narusova for traveling to NATO countries

Senator Lyudmila Narusova will be issued a warning because of her trip to NATO countries without the consent of the leadership of the Federation Council (F). This was announced by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Rules and Organization of Parliamentary Activities Vyacheslav Timchenko, transmits “RIA News”.

“We were waiting for Narusova at the committee (September 25 – Vedomosti), but she didn’t come. A warning will be sent to her about the inadmissibility of traveling abroad without the consent of the leadership of the Northern Fleet, especially to NATO countries, during the period of the SVO,” the senator said.

Timchenko noted that Narusova has access to classified information. According to him, the senator did not agree on a vacation with the chairman of the Federation Council and flew to Istanbul on July 18, and from there to Nice. She returned to Russia on August 6, missing the plenary session of the chamber.

Narusova refused to comment, saying that she “does not comment on fake news.”

Earlier today TASS, citing a source in the Federation Council reported, that the Committee on Rules and Organization of Parliamentary Activities decided to “severely warn” Narusova about the inadmissibility of traveling to NATO countries during the special operation in Ukraine. According to the committee, such actions “discredit the status of the senator and the chamber as a whole.”

In August, the senator’s daughter Ksenia Sobchak published a video on social networks where she says that she is in the city of Marbella in Spain. Narusova herself can also be seen in the footage. Senator then stated RIA Novosti, which is located in St. Petersburg.

At the end of July Timchenko notedthat there is no ban on travel to certain countries for senators, but at the same time there is a recommendation from the leadership of the Federation Council that they spend their vacations in Russia or in friendly countries “where there are no prerequisites for conflict situations.”
