Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that at the moment it is unlikely that anyone can say anything about the future presence of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“It’s unlikely that anyone will be able to say this for now, because they are now actually there on the territory of Azerbaijan,” he noted, answering the question posed.
The press secretary clarified that the Russian side will continue to maintain contacts with Baku regarding this topic.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that peacekeepers evacuated 5 thousand civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
