The fate of a soldier’s wife is to wait

– Yes, I now began to spend more time here. Since we got gas, we don’t want to leave here. But while our house is not brought to mind. Therefore, it is necessary to live in it so far only in the “cottage” format. Although the Arkasy themselves are essentially the most that neither is a village with its own unique colorful spirit. Old-timers say that at the beginning of the 20th century, more than a dozen windmills stood near the villages of Arkasy and Yurakovo (located nearby). I read a book about our places, where archival documents were mentioned. So, it was recorded there that in 1917 three windmills belonged to the inhabitants of the village of Yurakovo: Sergeev, Semenov and Porfiriev. And already Porfiryev sold the mill to a resident of our village, Izosim Matveev. I always wondered how much such a mill could cost. And in that historical book, the cost of the mill was “voiced” – 300 rubles. In our village in those days, people lived more prosperous than in neighboring Yurakovo. After all, most of the windmills belonged to the inhabitants of Arkas. I even remembered the names of the owners: Nikolaev, Efimov, Matveev, Tikhonov, Dmitriev, Lavrentiev. You noticed what simple surnames we meet. They are easy to remember. And my surname is common – Ivanova, – Tatiana laughs. “I want to settle down here permanently. But inside our home there is no decoration at all. The fact is that we now have two houses on the site: the old one and the new one. We didn’t demolish the first one. You see, the hand is not raised. After all, this is my mother’s house, and the land on which it stands was once allocated to my mother free of charge from the state farm.

In the USSR, people of labor were valued: land was given free of charge

Tatyana Petrovna’s mother in happy Soviet times worked as a livestock specialist at the state farm.

“Back then people of labor were highly valued. The state protected this most important resource of the country. After all, that famous phrase of Stalin “cadres decide everything” was very relevant. However, she will always be popular. After all, it is no longer a secret that many high posts in our country are occupied by ignoramuses – illiterate people. Therefore, incompetent state decisions are born. And in Soviet times, they took care of labor personnel. My mother told me a lot about it. Until 1930, peasants used the local lands as hay plots. In 1930, with the formation of a collective farm, the land became his property. To be more precise, these territories began to belong to the state farms “im. XXV Congress of the CPSU” and “Kadykovsky”. The latter was given the name of the Chuvash revolutionary leader Ivan Gerasimovich Kadykov, says Tatyana. – Then all the workers of the state farm were allocated land. That’s how it was supposed to be. And my mother always treated her work very responsibly. This trait of hers was passed on to me. In general, I think that a respectful and serious attitude to work was cultivated in Soviet times. It was in people’s blood. So I was raised by that dependable generation. And although I am now a little over forty years old, but pulls me to the ground. I do not want to burn life with empty fuss. From childhood, I got used to the fact that my parents always grew, planted, and made something. I like this lifestyle too. We have a big garden. We grow almost everything! Land, of course, is not enough. Only 10 acres.

Tatyana is glad that she was able to accustom children to simple work.

– They also like to mess with me in the beds, in the garden. We always spend our summer holidays here,” says Tatyana. “Our place is convenient because the village is located almost within the city limits. That is, from the apartment to get to Arkasy is not particularly time-consuming.

Lucky there is no fence

Tatyana Petrovna submitted documents for gasification in 2020.

— I learned about the social program of connection to gas from newspapers. Someone wraps herring in them, melts the stove with them, and I read. Turned out I was doing it right! – says Tatyana. – So, in the newspaper I came across an article where the coordinates for feedback were indicated. I called, consulted, and almost immediately applied for gas supply to our house. Then she collected the necessary documents, invited specialists. The most interesting thing is that the wiring of communications to the house was generally done in our absence. The gas workers only asked us for the coordinates of our neighbors, so that it would be easier for them to solve the problem of laying pipes. I would like to note the representative of the gas service Severinov Boris Alekseevich. We interacted with him the most. In general, the guys did everything for us quickly: they dug a trench, laid pipes. During these works, we were in direct contact with them. The gas workers themselves called us when they wanted to clarify something, offered options for laying pipes, and gave important recommendations. We don’t have a fence around the property. The husband said that so far there is no need for it, because there is a lot of work to be done on finishing, creating comfort inside the house. We will have to import materials in order to build utility rooms for garden tools and equipment. In short, life is just beginning.

Tatyana talks about her plans with inspiration and enthusiasm.

— All gas work inside the house also went quickly. Apart from the purchase of equipment, for all the work, from the tie-in point to the point of connection of the equipment inside the house, together with the materials, we paid 30 thousand rubles, explains Tatyana. – Our house is literally a meter from the border of the site.

The situation is non-standard – she was waiting for her husband from the war

The Ivanovs have already calculated future expenses.

– When we connected the equipment – a boiler, a stove, etc., I decided to fix how much gas we would spend in cold weather. After all, gas was launched into our house in the fall of 2022. On average, the meter fee for the blue light last winter was about 3,000 rubles a month. But the 2nd floor has not yet been used in the house. We have not carried out communications there yet, – Tatyana explains. – Most likely, “gas” spending will double when we start heating the whole house. Although the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe house itself is not very large – less than 200 square meters. m. Enough for our family. Before, when we lived in an old house, we stoked the stove. Sometimes my second cousin brought firewood for free. He is engaged in logging, so he tried to help us as much as possible. Sometimes I had to buy firewood. But in the end, these costs were penny compared, for example, with payments for an apartment.

– If everything is so rosy, why, in your opinion, do people not immediately decide to install gas in their homes, they hesitate, they are afraid of the unknown?

– How can you be afraid of something if this program is a state one? On our territory, the stage of gasification for 2020-2025 is currently being implemented. When I did all the paperwork, they went forward everywhere, helped with the paperwork.

By the way, our situation was unusual. When the pipe was brought to the house, it was the turn of the second stage – carrying out house work. But they could not be started, because there were no appropriate conditions inside the premises. Firstly, there was no overlap between the first and second floors. Work has been frozen. After all, my husband participated under a contract in the NWO, and I was waiting for him to return. Everything was stopped until better times. That’s what I told the gas workers: “Until my husband returns, we will not continue.” The specialists of the gas organization extended the contract several times. In general, everyone was waiting for his arrival home. Contract soldiers should have a rotation: every three months they should be released for rest and recovery. I got used to my fate as a wife of a military man – to WAIT and hope that everything will be fine. And we got married when I was 20 years old. So I got used to the state of waiting. And things went well when my beloved returned:

– When your husband returned, did you do any work in the house yourself?

– When I had free time, I made something, of course. But you understand how the military is in demand today. Therefore, the husband invited familiar craftsmen who were engaged in construction work inside the house.

– Are you, as a family of a member of the NWO, entitled to any benefits?

– Probably not. At least they didn’t offer us anything. But I think it’s a sin to complain. And so everything is fine. Everything is tolerable. I remember that even before the launch of the additional gasification program, people laid out several hundred thousand to have gas in their house. By the way, everything in our district has been gasified for a long time. When we still lived in the old house, the gasification of our area was actively going on. But then there was no social component in it. Therefore, my mother did not dare to install gas, although many in the district were gasified. And according to the new preferential program – God himself ordered to connect to the gas.
