The famous gymnastics coach became the victim of the oldest fraudster

The swindler was not put in jail because of her age

One of the oldest swindlers appeared before the court for apartment fraud. A 75-year-old woman easily fooled gullible citizens around her finger, and even famous athletes were among the victims.

As it became known to “MK”, a series of frauds was carried out by a native of Sukhumi, Dali Kokaya (surname changed – ed. note). Despite her age, she was famous for her ability to powder people’s brains. The elderly lady boasted of her acquaintances both among law enforcement officers and among thieves in law. No wonder they took her word for it. So, the well-known couple of coaches of the Russian gymnastics team, the spouses Rodionenko, suffered from Kokay. They worked abroad for a long time, then returned to Russia and settled in the Moscow region, and decided to rent an apartment in the center of the capital. The realtor recommended Dali Kokaya to them. The old woman is God’s dandelion from 2013 to 2020, but did not pay anything for housing. In the end, the clever person offered to take one of her own apartments in a new building on Bolshaya Ordynka as payment. However, these promises turned out to be fiction: Kokay did not have any apartments. As a result, the famous coaches were forced to go to the police.

The pensioner tried to pity the investigators and present herself as a weak old woman. Observation of it allowed us to establish a curious fact. When the old woman went for interrogation, she walked to the car on her own, leaning on a cane. But Kokay was already being taken to the building of the police department in a wheelchair – as if she had suddenly turned into an invalid.

However, a solid age still played in favor of Kokay. The Presnensky court sentenced her to 4 years in prison conditionally.
