The facade of the apartment building of Count Tatishchev will be repaired before the end of autumn

Specialists of the capital FKR are completing the renovation of the facade of house No. 43, building 1 on Pyatnitskaya Street. The repair is carried out within the framework of the regional program for the overhaul of the housing stock of the city of Moscow. Completion is scheduled for autumn this year.
The historical portrait of the house will be preserved thanks to special materials and technologies for the overhaul of the facade, which were selected according to an individual project.
The restoration of the facade took place in several stages. First, the basement of the building was repaired. At the same time, the old layer of plaster was beaten off, and then a fresh plaster coating was applied.
Then the masters began to repair the decorative architectural elements. The lost fragments were restored using polymer mixtures, and the laser scanning method was used to calculate the volume of losses.
Specialists also restore cartouches, coats of arms and rosettes. Lastly, the surfaces of the facade will be painted and treated with an antifungal compound.
The profitable house of Count Vladimir Tatishchev was built according to an individual project of the popular Moscow architect Gustov Gelrikh.
As you know, Tatishchev was a famous banker and was an official for special assignments of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Empire.
The count’s house was built in a rare Art Nouveau architectural style. The building had five floors, and on its facade were placed rectangular windows, French balconies and bay windows. When decorating the facade at the level of the two lower floors, rustication was used – external wall cladding using recesses in the plaster. The facade from the third to the fifth floor was decorated with pilasters with Corinthian capitals and bas-relief medallions.
The former profitable house of Count V. Tatishchev built in 1913 is located at the address: Pyatnitskaya st., 43, building 1.
