The expert named the time when spammers become active
More than 80% of Russian citizens regularly receive unwanted calls or messages from spammers, said Alexey Boyarnikov, head of Megafon’s anti-fraud support department.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that spammers are most active in the last days of the work week, and after the onset of weekends or holidays their activity decreases to a minimum.
“The activity of spammers may increase towards the end of the week, especially on Thursday and Friday, while on weekends and holidays it, on the contrary, decreases,” the message says.
Boyarnikov also gave a number of recommendations on how to behave when receiving calls from spammers. According to him, you should not share your contacts and personal data on unverified sites. It is recommended to have a spare phone number to indicate when registering for loyalty programs and placing advertisements.
