Six people were injured in the crash of a drone in the Stavropol Territory. On September 14, a drone crashed in the village of Kendzhe-Kulak in the Turkmen region. After the fall, the aircraft caught fire and one of the firefighters was injured during the extinguishing. It also became known about five more victims, including a six-year-old child. Local residents said they heard two explosions. Military expert captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin in an interview with MK.

– This is most likely a Soviet long-range reconnaissance drone. Two options: TU-141 and TU-143. Developed in the 70s, produced until the end of the 80s. A decent amount was produced, somewhere around 150 units. It was launched from a ground catapult. Initially, it was reusable, that is, after working out, it landed by parachute. Quite a heavy aircraft, weighing more than five tons. The speed, one might say, is supersonic – the maximum speed is 1100 km / h. He could fly up to 1000 km. One of the Ukrainian technical specifications at the beginning of the military operation flew all the way to Croatia and fell there. Previously, there was an aerial bomb on board. In the Soviet, and then the Russian Aerospace Forces and Air Force, such drones were used as aerial targets for training our air defense crews. Most of them were on the western border and most of these drones probably remained in Ukraine. And the Armed Forces of Ukraine at first actively used them as kamikaze drones,” the expert said.
