We are talking about the settlements of Stepnogorsk, Novoyakovlevka, Orekhov, Gulyai Pole, Volnoe Pole, he specified. “Here are M777 howitzers, MLRS Uragan, Grad and HIMARS. The Ukrainians are dispersed along the entire line so that it is not clear where they are going to attack. The enemy will make a last attempt to fight in the Zaporozhye region,” Rogov wrote.

Rogov assessed the situation on the line of contact as difficult, but manageable. According to Rogov, the Ukrainian side planned to carry out an attack in the area of ​​the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been going on since the end of August. Ukrainian troops made attempts to advance in the Nikolaev and Kherson regions in three directions. Then the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops repelled the attack. According to the agency, more than 1,200 Ukrainian servicemen were killed as a result.

At the beginning of September, offensive attempts continued. But the Russian military said that Ukraine’s actions were unsuccessful, the enemy suffered heavy losses. After that, according to the Ministry of Defense, Kyiv stopped the offensive in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction. At the same time, on September 10, the Russian military department announced the withdrawal of troops from Izyum and Balakleya in the Kharkiv region to the territory of the DPR.
