There were strange trucks near the hangar
In the case of an explosion on the territory of the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant, the technical director of the Piro-Ross company, whose warehouse blew up in Sergiev Posad, Sergey Chankaev, was detained. Experts talk about an explosion equivalent to a hundred kilograms of TNT. The main version is a violation of industrial safety requirements. A specialist from one of the related organizations told MK about what is happening at the plant.
“The Piro-Ross company did not rent premises at the optical-mechanical plant in Sergiev Posad, the metal hangar is their property,” says my interlocutor Alexander. – Of the industries in this territory, they had only one workshop, where they made mortar-type salute launchers, which were installed on trucks, and all their components. Those very launching barrels for fireworks, which are called “banks”. All hazardous industries were moved outside the village of Remmash, into the forest. That’s where they rented space, and they had a license for production.
As Alexander says, the company is only now going through the stage of bankruptcy.
All their property has been seized, but they are not yet bankrupt. There, a managing director was appointed by the state court. Most of the wage arrears were paid off. Some factories took them for financing. We talked about a local pilot plant for instrument bearings.
Sergey Chankaev, as our interlocutor says, in fact, is no longer the general director of the Piro-Ross company.
– Since April, he has not had the right to sign. On the day the explosions took place, he was holding a meeting in the administration building, where our specialists were also present. The blast wave took out all the windows in the building, but no one was hurt. This was the far side of the building as viewed from the epicenter of the explosion.
Chankaev’s driver went missing.
– During the explosion, he could go into the production workshop or into the garage, where there was a rest room. Now there is a fifteen-meter funnel in that place.
Neighboring buildings were also damaged. On the territory of the optical-mechanical plant, according to Alexander, there were about 50 small firms.
— The biggest mystery is the trucks that stood near the hangar. Companies had to get out of debt, they could start producing something from civilian products. What they brought and unloaded there, you need to look at the invoices. What the investigation is doing now, I think. I myself have seen smoke rising from buildings, fireworks do not explode like that. It’s more like gunpowder. But how much of it had to be in order for the explosion to be felt even 20 kilometers from the city?
Factory workers say that the company could have received recycled black gunpowder from the arsenals. Although they themselves explain that gunpowder is now, in connection with a special operation, under special control. Its sale is allowed only under the state defense order.
Salute installations, ready-made charges and their components could be stored nearby. After the first explosion, a detonation began … The investigation is now sorting out the circumstances of what happened.
A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities. A lot of examinations have been appointed, including explosives, ballistics, physical and chemical.
