Zukhra Pavlova, an endocrinologist at the Moscow State Scientific and Educational Center, Candidate of Medical Sciences, in her telegram channel toldwhat amount of food is considered optimal.
According to Pavlova, the amount of meat eaten in boiled, stewed or baked form should be on average no more than 200 grams per meal. In addition, pork, beef and lamb are best eaten no more than once or twice a week.
In the meantime, poultry meat is recommended to be eaten two to four times a week, and eggs – no more than five pieces a week.
As for cottage cheese and yogurts, they should not be eaten more than 50-150 grams per day.
Pavlova noted that fish in any form, fresh, chilled, slightly salted, baked, boiled or steamed, can be eaten up to six times a week in portions of 100-200 grams at a time.
The endocrinologist advised me to eat vegetables three times a day, at least 400 grams daily, and fruits – one kind of each. The optimal portion of berries is as much as will fit in one glass.
Pavlova emphasized that these recommendations are not as strict and do not apply to people with a special diet or intolerance to any of the products.
