The electronic version of the driver’s license appeared on “Gosuslugi”

The electronic version of the driver’s license became available in the application “Gosuslugi Avto”, reported press service of the Ministry of Digital Development in the Telegram channel. Now it can be presented to traffic inspectors during the verification of documents.

The department also added that the application has a digital copy of the vehicle registration certificate (STS). “The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that even if there are electronic documents in the application, drivers are still required to have a driver’s license in their original form,” the message says.

The Mintsifra explained the algorithm for presenting documents. First, the user needs to select a driver’s license in the application or STS, then click Submit Documents. After that, the traffic inspector reads the QR code that has appeared through a special program. The information will be automatically downloaded from the database of the State Traffic Inspectorate.

It is possible to present the above-mentioned documents in electronic form through the application without access to the Internet, the Ministry of Digital Development noted. On “Gosuslugi Avto” electronic rights are available, STSpayment and appeal of fines, car check service, etc.

Such innovations became possible thanks to the joint work of the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the department added. The application “Gosuslugi Avto” has been operating since 2021. Currently, more than 2.5 million drivers use it, the Ministry of Digital Development reported.
