The prosecutor’s office of the Netherlands has requested three and a half years in prison for the Ural football player Ray Vlut, writes AD. The athlete is accused in the case of a fatal accident.
According to the prosecutor’s office, in 2021, Vlut, driving a car at a speed of about 200 km / h, flew into another car, where there were a man, a woman and two children. One of the passengers, a four-year-old boy, was seriously injured and died in hospital. After an accident in the blood of an athlete, they found 1.18 ppm of alcohol (an indicator twice as high as the permissible limit).
The family members of the deceased child feared that the athlete would escape from justice in Russia, since he now plays in the RPL as part of a club from Yekaterinburg (at the time of the accident, Vlut played for the Dutch Heracles). Nevertheless, the player appeared at the trial, pleaded guilty and expressed regret about what he had done.
“We are following the legal proceedings around Rai Vluta. Like everyone else, we read publications in the media. I consider it premature to comment on this matter before the court’s decision.
