The DPR began to collect data on damage to communication networks during the hostilities

On August 7, 2023, the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) requested information from the Ministry of Communications of the DPR about damage to communication networks as a result of shelling from Ukraine. The regional department forwarded the request to local telecom operators. The receipt of such a letter from the Ministry of Communications in early August was confirmed by three sources of Vedomosti in the operators of the DPR.

In its request, the TFR submitted to the Ministry of Communications of the DPR a list of victims and damage to property as a result of shelling, indicating places and dates in the period from late July 2023 to early August 2023. In their report, local operators must list network property damaged as a result of shelling, indicate its cost, as well as an estimate of the cost of restoration. Operators must send a response before August 11, 2023, the Ministry of Communications will redirect it to the TFR, follows from the request of the ministry.
