A sharp immersion in water in the heat is highly discouraged, as it can result in the death of a person, said doctor Dmitry Berezovsky in an interview with Life.ru.
According to him, this primarily applies to people over the age of 40. He noted that for this category, almost without exception, coronary heart disease is characteristic to varying degrees.
So, if a person is abruptly immersed in water, then there is a sharp temperature drop, and the result can be violations in the thermoregulation of the body, vasospasm, and as a result, disruptions in the blood supply to the heart muscle.
According to him, the results of a sharp immersion in water can also be a violation of the heart rhythm and loss of consciousness.
