Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of Moscow State University, Doctor of Medical Sciences Zukhra Pavlova shared tips on preserving memory.

In her Telegram channel, the doctor noted that often memory problems, especially short-term ones, can be caused by both stress and fatigue.

At the same time, memory loss can also indicate the presence of serious diseases and problems with neurology, the endocrine system. In particular, memory is significantly affected in diabetes. In addition, memory loss is a symptom of progressive neurodegenerative diseases, Pavlova noted.

The doctor said that for the brain it is necessary to change the sphere of activity from time to time. So, Pavlova advised all, without exception, people of the age to walk after work, as well as engage in sports exercises.

Reading regularly, looking at art pictures, doing crossword puzzles and taking quizzes are other ways to preserve brain function, Pavlova said.
