According to Oksana Mikhaleva, an endocrinologist and nutritionist, in certain cases coffee is a healthy drink, but for some groups of people it is better not to drink it.
In an interview with the Prime agency, the candidate of medical sciences explained that coffee affects heart rhythms, so it should not be drunk by children, pregnant and lactating women, as well as people with arrhythmias and high blood pressure.
In addition, coffee can interfere with the absorption of a number of drugs. The doctor added that if you drink 4-5 cups a day, then osteoporosis can occur – a disease characterized by a decrease in bone density, a violation of their microarchitecture and increased fragility.
