The director of a school from Omsk commented on the scandal with the refusal to install a memorial plaque for the deceased participant in a special military operation. She stated that she did not say the phrase “This is not a cemetery for you,” because of which the colleagues of the deceased serviceman demanded that the teacher be deported from Russia.
In a conversation with the publication Podem, the head of secondary school No. 87, Marina Kovalenko, said that the authors of the video message did not contact her themselves, and the question of installing the sign was “fleeting” during a discussion of the sports ground with another person.
The director added that the bullying carried out against her had no basis. According to her, the person with whom she spoke about installing the sign said that there were documents, but in fact there were none.
“I called the district administration, the department of property relations, and the military registration and enlistment office – Yamshchikov’s name was not listed anywhere. Therefore, I think that my actions are correct, and what is happening is bullying,” the teacher said, adding that she simply acted “by the letter of the law.”
Previously headmaster wrote a statement to the police on SVO participants.
