A statement to the police against the participants in the special military operation was written by the director of a school from Omsk, Marina Kovalenko. Combat veterans accused her of refusing install a memorial plaque to the deceased serviceman, reports Kommersant-Sibir with reference to the press service of the city mayor’s office.
A video in which two men talk about a comrade who was awarded the medal “For Courage” and did not return from the SVO zone appeared on the Telegram channel the day before.
The SVO participants stated that they wanted to perpetuate the memory of the fighter and install a memorial plaque at his school. But the director allegedly refused them.
The mayor’s office reported that the director did not refuse the request, and the head of the city instructed to look into the situation.
As it turned out later, the participants in the special operation came to the school director with a request, but she did not refuse them, but only explained that for this it was necessary to collect a package of documents.
