The policeman never pleaded guilty – unlike his friend
For installing trackers on someone else’s car and surveillance, which ended in an attack and theft of 30 million rubles, a former operative for especially important cases of the Directorate for Drug Control of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow and his friend security guard were brought to trial.
As it became known to MK, the guard explained to the law enforcement officers that his familiar operative gave him a GPS tracker and ordered him to mount it under the bottom of the car of the allegedly potential criminal – they say, operational measures are being taken. For some time, the security guard tracked the route of movement on the tablet, in which the operative installed the surveillance program.
Then the guard was ordered to get rid of the tablet and leave the city – he volunteered for the Donbass. For his work, an employee of the private security company received 100 thousand rubles. However, after some time, the guards from the capital came to the Donbass to fetch the security guard in order to bring him to criminal responsibility.
As it turned out, the owner of the car, a native of Chechnya, who was monitored by a private security company, on February 21, 2021, on General Kuznetsov Street, was attacked by unknown people and stole 30 million rubles from him. This money was given to the victim by a friend to be exchanged for foreign currency according to a well-established scheme. The money in a bag was brought by a certain woman whom a native of Chechnya met in Vnukovo. The man converted dollars into rubles, but became the target of an attack.
The police began to investigate the unpleasant incident and went on the trail of their colleague – the detective for especially important cases of the 1st department of the Drug Control Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow with the rank of police lieutenant colonel. It was with his SIM card that the tracker was initially configured, and another security SIM card was also installed.
An employee of the private security company gave a confession, but the ex-detective officer (the man was soon fired from the police) did not plead guilty even in court. The man (by the way, he has awards for fighting drugs) claimed that he simply set up the tracker in May 2020 at the request of his friend, since he was introduced to security as an operative.
The Kuzminsky District Court sentenced the security guard to 4.5 years in prison. The ex-policeman received 7 years in prison to serve a sentence in a strict regime colony.
