At the same time, according to a June poll by the analytical organization Panelbase, 48 percent of the inhabitants of Scotland were in favor of independence, 47 percent were against it.
Earlier, Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon said that a new independence referendum could take place on October 19, 2023.
The previous referendum was held in 2014, when 55 percent of the inhabitants of Scotland were in favor of retaining membership in the UK.
