The initiative of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on the “self-mobilization” of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation needs to be assessed by the military department, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes. Mr. Peskov refrained from personal comments on the proposal of the head of Chechnya.
“This needs to be assessed from the point of view of military professionals, of course, this should be assessed by the Ministry of Defense,” Peskov said during today’s press call.
Last week, against the background of news about the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mr. Kadyrov declaredthat the subjects of the Russian Federation should not wait for the declaration of martial law and announce local mobilization. According to the head of Chechnya, if each region sends 1,000 volunteers to Ukraine, the military operation will be completed without the announcement of general mobilization.
About the idea of Kadyrov – in the material “Kommersant” “Additions are expected from the regions”.
