A Day of Mourning for those killed in the Crocus terrorist attack has been declared in Russia.
March 24 (Sunday) has been declared a Day of National Mourning in Russia. This is the thirtieth case in the modern history of Russia. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this in a special address.

In addition, cultural institutions traditionally cancel entertainment events, and corresponding changes are being made to the broadcast schedule of TV channels.

During the Soviet era, mourning was declared only after the death of the country’s leaders, with the exception of the death of the hero of the USSR, the world’s first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
For the first time in the modern history of Russia, a Day of Mourning was declared in 1993, in connection with the disaster on the Kursk nuclear submarine.
