The Daily Telegraph: foreign mercenaries in Ukraine are killing each other more often

According to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, foreign mercenaries serving on the side of the Kyiv authorities have begun to more often encounter internal, everyday conflicts, which sometimes lead to fatal consequences.

The publication points to the disappearance of the British mercenary Daniel Burke, who disappeared in Zaporozhye in early August. A version is now being considered that 35-year-old Burke could have been killed by his own colleagues. The newspaper also points to Ukrainian police speculation that Burke’s disappearance may have been linked to financial disputes between him and other members of the International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine.

Also in June, the body of British mercenary Jordan Chadwick was discovered in a body of water with his hands tied behind his back. The authors of the article suggested that he could have become a victim of other foreign fighters.

It is noted that among the mercenaries fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, one can often find people with a criminal record, mental disorders, and problems with drug or alcohol addiction.

In May, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia told TASS that over 2 thousand mercenaries from 71 countries are taking part in hostilities against the Russian army in the special military operation zone, 234 of them are US citizens.
