The daily audience of Runet is 95.3 million Russians

More than 95 million Russians visit the Russian segment of the Internet every day. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko in his congratulations on the Runet Day. On April 7, the .RU domain turned 29 years old.
“Today, the daily audience of Runet is 95.3 million people in the country. With the departure of Western companies, domestic developers and vendors have a window of opportunity in the form of a huge order for new solutions,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko, quoted by the government press service.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, according to analysts of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications, the contribution of Runet to the Russian economy over the past year could grow by 24% – up to 12 trillion rubles. In 2020, the growth of the Internet economy amounted to 41% year-on-year, in 2021 – 42%.
According to the February report media scope, the leader in monthly coverage among Internet resources in 2022 is Yandex (78.1% of Russians over 12 years old visited the resource at least once a month). In second place is Google with a coverage of 75.9% of Russians, in third is YouTube (74%).
