The Czech Foreign Ministry announced the introduction for citizens of the Russian Federation of the obligation to obtain an airport visa for transit through the country’s airports.
In the application for website The department said that the obligation was introduced for Russians from November 21, and now Russian citizens can stay in the transit zone of international airports in the Czech Republic only if they have such a visa.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky announced a ban on entry into the country for Russians with tourist Schengen visas from October 25. He pointed out that the measures should primarily affect those who arrive at the Prague airport.
