The customs officer from the “White Sun of the Desert” will be reminded of the call of duty

A curious way to always remember the call of duty and purity of thoughts was found by customs officers. The department ordered sculptures of the famous Vereshchagin from the legendary film “White Sun of the Desert” for employees.

An unusual tender is posted on the public procurement portal. The customer is the Central Base Customs. The agency decided to purchase 20 Vereshchagin small-format cabinet sculptures.

The famous film has long been out of quotes. Perhaps the most famous phrase: “I don’t take bribes, it’s a shame for me for the state!” – belongs to the customs officer Vereshchagin.

As indicated in the terms of reference for the competition, the sculpture is a prototype of the image of a customs officer from the film “White Sun of the Desert”. Most likely, the formidable, but honest and fair Vereshchagin should stand on the tables of officials: the height of the figurine is only 20 centimeters plus a stand. The sculpture must be made of bronze with the use of patination. The result should be a shade of dark golden ocher. The stand is required from a natural stone of dark tones.

Customers even painted in detail how the desktop Vereshchagin should look like.

As stated in the public procurement documents, this is “a figure dressed in a shirt, belted with twine, leaning on his left leg with the left elbow resting on a box with a basket, from which a bottle is visible. The lower part of the figure is dressed in trousers tucked into boots. The basket is on top of the second crate on top of the barrel. The composition of accessories is draped with fabric on the side of the left leg. In the lowered right hand is a Mauser. Head turned to the right.

The department is ready to spend 678 thousand rubles on sculptures.
