And it is not a fact that these problems were resolved after the girl was found. Obviously, the old photo of Alina Gorbacheva from a tropical paradise in her today’s post with apologies still does not say anything.

Yes, the athlete has already revealedly repented on the social network in front of everyone who was worried about her. Everything, as in the training manuals for good girls: “I’m sorry for making everyone nervous and worried about me. Now everything is fine, I’m at home with my favorite coach and mom.

I immediately remembered the public apologies throughout the country of the bright and unbridled European champion Alena Kostornaya to return to Tutberidze’s headquarters after the scandalous flight from there. Alena had to “pacify her pride.” Otherwise they wouldn’t have taken it back.

However, even after the apology, the career of the figure skater with “the best skating in history,” who was once considered the main contender for a trip to the Beijing Olympics, was actually over.

Two weeks ago, Kostornaya got married. Riding for fun with her husband. Apologies, according to rumors, regrets. About the rest, at least publicly, not a drop.

This is life and this is sport. Two big differences.

We do not understand how Alina Gorbacheva lived for years somewhere with a coach, separated from her parents for the sake of future victories. And for professional athletes, there is nothing special about it. Ask at least the 2018 Olympic champion Alina Zagitova, whose mother Eteri Tutberidze at one time actually delivered an ultimatum: she would not meet with her daughter before the Olympics. All for a medal.

There is nothing special, but it clearly affects the psyche of young athletes. What is in their heart? Let’s remember Sasha Trusova’s tantrum, which she made when she did not receive gold in Beijing, but only (!!!) silver. “I hate sports! I hate everyone! I will never go out on the ice again!

Then Sasha explained this by the fact that she had not seen her mother for three weeks. It is normal to have someone around who does not demand results, but simply loves you.

An employee of one of the ice arenas once told me in confidence, as a journalist, what some parents of young skaters do after training, if they don’t like something: they beat and yell. She asked what to do in this case, especially since she saw bruises? I said nothing. Sports are cruel. It’s better not to even climb.

No, it was not in vain that they were alarmed about Alina. Three years ago, the promising Katya Aleksandrovskaya, junior world champion, participant in the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, committed suicide in Moscow. She left a short and unexplaining note: “I love you.”

They said that problems with alcohol, health problems were to blame – shortly before the tragedy, the girl had an epileptic seizure and she could not continue to ride.

What was it like for her, putting her whole life on medals and eventually becoming a nobody? This is even sadder than not showing results in the first place.

Yes, in fact, this is a dead end – to throw everything on the altar of figure skating, and in the end to be thrown to the sidelines.

Champions at least know what they paid such a high price for. But there are only a few champions. And what about ordinary sixteen-year-olds whom no one has ever heard of? Remember the story of “Pskov Bonnie and Clyde” Katya and Denis? They ran away from home to the dacha, where their stepfather kept weapons, and when they were found, they began to shoot at the wheels of police cars and in the end decided that there was no point in living. They will also punish you for running away. It’s better that way – forever.

But viewers on the other side of the cell phones subconsciously expected a dramatic ending. And none of them found the right words. Although the police even had a professional negotiator.

Maybe it’s good that Alina didn’t go online all that day and didn’t read about what they write about her.

However, there are those who sincerely root for the girl and want everything to be fine with her. And figure skating remained in her life, but this act was forgotten. In the end, it is not her fault that she is famous, the search engines say that teenagers are lost and found quite often – not everyone is trumpeted all over the country.

“Allow your child to be out of public space for a little while. No one expects any explanations or apologies from her,” writes one of Gorbacheva’s fans on the figure skating website.

“The girl has already been treated and raised a sense of guilt, now she will remain silent for a long time and we will never know the reasons, but they clearly were.”

Alina’s act in fact, theoretically, can be associated with anything. At the age of 16, there can be problems with peers, and first love, and a million more reasons, including completely nonsense in our adult opinion, for which children behave the way they behave.

What happened is, in general, not something out of the ordinary for teenagers with their fine mental organization.

But the fact that Alina considered the night entrance of someone else’s house the only possible place for herself in this situation is scary. That she had no one to go to just to cry. If there was a quarrel with the coach, then mom is here, in Moscow, nearby – why not come to her, why not call dad and grandmother, there must be teammates, at least some significant adults, at least someone alive …
