Traffic on the Crimean bridge will not be limited for a long time due to repair work, said the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov. First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic Nikolai Lukashenko, in turn, said that the bridge would not be closed for the New Year holidays.
“Currently, activities are being actively carried out related to the repair of the left side of the Crimean bridge, and short-term traffic closures are possible as part of routine restoration work. However, no long-term shutdowns are planned. Therefore, everyone can plan trips to and from Crimea without hindrance,” Sergei Aksenov wrote in his Telegram-channel.
He also urged citizens to be guided only by official information from federal departments about the operation of the bridge, in particular information from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, and not respond to messages from other sources.
Mr. Lukashenko said that information about the blocking of the bridge since December 27 and “until some January” is being spread by “ill-wishers”. “Indeed, currently, activities are being carried out related to the repair of the left side of the Crimean bridge. There are no plans to cover long-term bridge structures, ”he said (quoted by TASS).
