The court ordered house arrest for the CEO of Telesport in a fraud case.

The Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow placed the general director of Telesport Group (operator of the sports marketing market) Pyotr Makarenko under house arrest for a month in a fraud case. This is stated in message Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
Pyotr Makarenko will remain under house arrest until May 4. He was charged under the article on fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for fraudulent actions related to the broadcast of sporting events.
Telesport Media has issued valid licenses for two online media: the Telesport website (tele-sport.ru) and the now defunct Sila website (silatv.ru). The Sila TV channel began broadcasting in 2018. The channel broadcast mixed martial arts tournaments Ultimate Fighting Championship.
At the end of February this year, the Federal Tax Service filed a lawsuit to declare Telesport bankrupt. Experts believe that Telesport Media did not have enough revenue to cover its high expenses.
