Putin signed a law tightening penalties for spam calls to 1 million rubles

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a law that tightens administrative liability for spam calls, as well as advertising of loans without indicating their full cost. Corresponding document has already been published on the Internet portal of legal information.

Before this, the fines were: for individuals – from 2 thousand to 2.5 thousand rubles, for officials – from 4 thousand to 20 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 100 thousand to 500 thousand rubles. Now, according to the new bill, for violations individuals will have to pay from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles, officials – from 20 thousand to 100 thousand rubles and for legal entities – from 300 thousand to 1 million rubles.

In addition, responsibility is being introduced for microfinance organizations for distributing advertising in violation of the requirements. Thus, MFOs must publish advertisements indicating the full cost of the loan or loan. If these rules are violated, the microfinance organization will pay a fine in the amount of 600 thousand to 1.6 million rubles.
