The Supreme Court of Bashkiria overturned the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ufa on the claim of the former general director of the Moscow FC Spartak Shamil Gazizov against JSC Football Club Spartak Moscow and its ex-owner Leonid Fedun. The judge did not read out the reasoning part of the decision.
Mr Gazizov asked the court oblige the defendants to jointly and severally pay him €1 million for Spartak’s participation in European competitions at the end of the 2020/21 season. In June, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ufa partially satisfied the claim: it ordered Mr. Fedun to pay Shamil Gazizov 89.6 million rubles.
Shamil Gazizov led Spartak from July to December 2020. After leaving the club, he returned to a similar position at FC Ufa, which he held before employment at the Moscow club.
